Vino Rosso Rossetto Red 2021,
Fruit and drinkability above all: Rossetto was designed to be joyful and easy to drink. Azienda Corvagialla sought to promote maximum acidity in the harvest to obtain a pleasant wine with a very present fruity note: cherry and strawberry, on the nose as well as on the palate. This wine is a distinguished gurgling wine, a wine for pleasure and relaxation with friends that you will love to return to on any occasion. Rossetto is a 100% Sangiovese from the most vigorous plot of the vineyard: made up of volcanic soils, it faces west and is located at an altitude of 450 meters. The harvest is destemmed and macerated for about three weeks with daily pumping over or punching down as needed. After fermentation, Rossetto is aged in fiberglass vats until bottling in March.

The Azienda Corva Gialla ("yellow crow") is a wine estate in Lazio, Italy, located on the edge of Umbria in the Alta Tuscia Viterbese. A volcanic region considered one of the most beautiful in Italy and characterized by its calanches, tall tuff rock formations delimiting deep valleys carved by numerous streams and torrents. Corva Gialla is located in Lubriano, opposite Civita di Bagnoregio. Alta Tuscia is proving to be a breeding ground for young winemaking talents devoted to nature who are promoting these lands deprived throughout history. Founded in 2017, the estate comprises four hectares cultivated by Beatrice Arweiler, originally from another wine-growing region, between the Rhine and the Moselle. The new owner also planted an olive grove (Frantoio and Leccino varieties) and developed the estate into a mixed crop and livestock system. The vines were planted with the help of Gian Marco Antonuzzi of the Le Coste estate. The friable volcanic soil lends itself beautifully to viticulture and the planting of grape varieties such as Grechetto d'Umbria, Trebbiano, Vermentino, Sangiovese, and Ciliegiolo. The estate's wines are quintessentially Italian, meaning they are crafted primarily for enjoyment. They are straightforward, deep, and easy to drink, expressing the strong minerality of their soils.

Partida Creus
With a few years of maturation further reinforcing its character while smoothing out the nuances, this smoky, deep, full-bodied, mineral, and explosive sparkling wine is a true invitation to celebrate. The nose offers aromas of ripe white fruits—apple, pear, white peach—followed by mineral notes on the palate that frame yeasty touches reminiscent of buttery pastries and fresh bread. Beautiful, straightforward, saline acidity. Very elegant, XL Xarel lo Ancestral is highly drinkable and enjoyable. Made from the native Catalan grape variety xarel lo, harvested by hand and pressed directly, it is fermented in stainless steel vats using indigenous yeasts and finished fermenting in bottles on fine lees for a minimum of ten months, without the slightest addition of sulfites.

Partida Creus is an important estate, both in terms of wine and history – we are talking here about the history of the vine in Catalonia. Massimo Marchiori and Antonella Gerosa, originally from Piedmont – and even from the Langhe region, where they know a lot about wine – first pursued careers as architects in Barcelona. But the wine bug bit them, and soon they abandoned the big city and its sophistication for the vineyards of southern Catalonia, in Bonastre in Baix-Penedés. There they find a quantity of abandoned vineyards planted with a dizzying diversity of traditional Catalan grape varieties that they passionately revive to save these varieties – and their wines – from oblivion. For them, it is not just a matter of heritage rescue, no: it is a matter of taste and nature. Of natural wines, which they will never stop making from now on on these sandy, poor, clay-limestone or clay-gravel soils, poor and poorly irrigated, where the vines suffer to give their best juice. Massimo and Antonella practice organic, biodynamic viticulture, entirely manual and natural in order to give new life to these wines. Vinyater, sumoll, garrut, monastrell, ull de perdiu, ull de llebre, sumoll, queixal de llop, cariñena, trepat, subirat parent, maccabeu, parellada, pansé, vinel·lo, bobal, cartoixà vermell or xarel·lo: Partida Creus is a veritable conservatory of native Catalan grape varieties. It also grows moscatel, grenache, merlot and cabernet (among others). Few wineries can boast growing so many different grape varieties. The wines reflect this diversity, with the winemakers striving to best convey the signature of the soil and the grape variety: single-variety wines are common among them, alongside extensive blends, all in the styles dear to Catalonia: still wine, "ancestral" sparkling wine, and even vermouth. The bottles themselves are works of art: bare glass, simply marked with two large stenciled initials that denote the vintage. Chatzen Blanc 2017
La Sorga
Anthony Tortul loves old vineyards: he devotes his life to finding and vinifying them. Just as there are landless shepherds, he can be defined as a landless winegrower, in other words, a wine merchant whose scope extends throughout Languedoc and, eastward, as far as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in search of the best terroirs. Born in Foix, with six years of experience as a wine technician and oenologist in various vineyards in the south of France, he created La Sorga in 2008. His enthusiasm leads him on a path filled with favorites, and each of these favorites is a vineyard. The result is a dizzying mosaic of natural, lively, and spirited wines, which reinvents itself each year with around thirty cuvées per vintage. Few winemakers can list such a variety of grape varieties on their list: the whole of southern France is covered with muscats, grenaches, picpoul, mauzac, carignan, cinsault, marsanne, alicante, braucol, duras, viognier, len-de-l’el, and all the rest.
This wine is a blend of seventy percent sauvignon blanc (twenty-eight-year-old vines) and thirty percent chasan (a cross between listan and chardonnay; forty-three-year-old vines) from sandy limestone soils near Carcassonne. The chasan is processed by direct pressing and the sauvignon macerates in the must in whole bunches for four months. The aging is three years in old barrels, without topping up. This explains the controlled oxidative character of this wine, with a nose of veil (walnut husk) and stewed tropical fruits, dried banana, curry... and the aromatic, straight, long and complex palate, well tannic. The aging potential is enormous but the wine already stands out for gastronomy and the most refined dishes on the most joyful tables.

VS-Fine Calvados, Domaine de la Flaguerie
The Domaine de La Flaguerie and the Ducy orchards are located between Caen and Bayeux, in the Bessin region. The Calvados produced there has an aromatic profile linked to this rolling plain region, more lively, more dynamic, and less well-known to the general public than the rounded, sweet style of the Pays d'Auge. Made from the estate's apples, this organic Calvados (40% alcohol) is a perfect example of the local style: the color is amber, with a nose reminiscent of tobacco, pepper, and cinnamon. On the palate, this spicy liveliness is confirmed before rounding out into vanilla apple. A complex Calvados, long in the mouth, full of elegance.

Made from ninety-year-old Gamay vines planted on clay-limestone soils, this fresh, deep, and smooth wine is aged in barrels. It has excellent aging potential.

Rose Rosé 2017
Domaine Ruth Lewandowski
This simply named rosé comes from two exceptional plots: Matthew Rorick's vineyard in Calaveras, California, a very steep, high-altitude vineyard whose high-quality soils provide the Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo) used in this blend. The other, Fox Hill Vineyard, nurtured the Portuguese grape varieties (Souzão and Touriga Nacional) that make up the rest. These fleshy, sappy, and tannic grapes, combined with the Tinta Roriz, allowed Ruth to create a rosé wine that redefines the conventional image of this type of wine: deep, earthy, and structured.

Yggdrasil Red 2015
Yggdrasil is a blend of Merlot grown organically on limestone sands in the Carcassonne region. The grapes are vinified in whole bunches and infused for ninety days; the wine is then aged in vats on its lees for eleven months. The result is a fresh and long wine with notes of black fruits, thyme, and cinnamon, perfect for pairing with red meats or game. Aging potential: ten years.

Magnum Tonton Red 2015
This 100% Cabernet Franc comes from Vincent Wallard's Loire winery. Produced from clay-limestone soils, the grapes are vinified using a mille-feuille process (skin-on maceration using layers of destemmed grapes and whole bunches to control the astringency of the tannins) before aging for twenty months. Excellent with red meats and wild mushrooms (porcini mushrooms, for example), it can be kept for twenty years.

Chat Zen White 2015
This wine is a blend of 40% Sauvignon Blanc (from twenty-seven-year-old vines) and 60% Chasan (a cross of Listan and Chardonnay; from forty-two-year-old vines) from sandy limestone soils near Carcassonne. The Sauvignon Blanc is directly pressed, and the Chasan macerates in the whole-bunch must for seventy days. It is aged for two years in vats. Notes of exotic fruits, dried banana, and curry: a rich aromatic palette perfect for blue cheeses, aged Comté, and Southeast Asian cuisine. Aging potential: twenty years.

Balanced, rustic, deep, with a superb texture on the palate, the Cordières des Andes lingers on a fresh finish. This appellation, which plays playfully on words, includes the Corbières de Fond Cyprès, which has simply changed its name. You may therefore already know it by its former name. Far from any Andean references, this is a magnificent red wine, well-defined by its terroir, produced from a blend of equal parts Grenache du Bois Saint-Jaume, Carignan de la Source, and Syrah de la Pinède, vinified separately and blended in barrels. Offering great aging potential, it is perfect for drinking or keeping. This classified Vin de France vintage is refined, chiseled, and lovingly crafted; it can be described as the synthesis of the estate that gave birth to it. Serve it with anything good you have; it has a very broad back when it comes to pairings.

This Languedoc estate is built on solid foundations: its two winemakers, Rodolphe and Laetitia, are also descendants of winemakers. Even before planting their first vine, they already had a clear objective: "to produce southern wines that reflect us, wines with character, attached to our soils, with freshness and refined tannins." They want to obtain entirely natural wines, concentrates of terroir. In the old Corbières massif, they took over an old heart of an estate already planted with abandoned Carignan and Grenache vines, which had seen neither fertilizer nor pesticides for years: these clean and vibrant soils are ideal conditions for launching into natural wine. Around this historic heart, they first planted Grenache Noir and Syrah, then a plot of white grape varieties: Viognier, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne. The estate has been Ecocert certified since 2010 and also complies with the Nature & Progrès charter. Vinification is carried out without the addition of sulfites or exogenous yeasts. "We make wines for pleasure," say Laetitia and Rodolphe. For them, natural wine is first evaluated by taste, from the harvest. The vintages closely follow the plots, the musts are fruity, fluid, and complex. Fond Cyprès wines poetically evoke the estate's ecosystem and the vegetation that protects the plots: pine forests, shaded springs, the beauty of the natural environment that brings freshness to the wines and leaves the signature of the soil. Deliciously balanced between mineral imprint, plant environment and fruit expression, Fond Cyprès wines reflect the South: the caress of its sun, but also the freshness of its shadows.
Gigondas Rouge 2021
Les Grandes Serres
Gigondas! A great terroir whose very name evokes the earthiness, indulgence, and depth of a traditional wine already beloved in the time of popes and knights. Its vines of Grenache Noir (predominantly), Syrah, and Mourvèdre grow peacefully in Vaucluse, at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, and production is exclusively red and rosé. The reds are renowned for their depth, density, and aging qualities, their notes of black cherry, and their structure. They have the characteristic of "truffing" as they age, which is hardly surprising in a country where truffles grow. This Gigonda is part of the organic and natural Comics range from the Castel-Papal des Grandes Serres estate. Unlike most Gigondas where Grenache Noir is the majority, it is composed of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache. The Syrahs are planted on sandy soil and the Grenaches grow on calcareous-gravelly soil. The quality of the grapes is exceptional and the wine conveys this information well. The harvest is manual, destemmed, and fermented in concrete vats and demi-muids. Moderate punching down is necessary for good extraction. The wine is aged for six months in vats before bottling.

Everyone knows where Châteauneuf-du-Pape is, but how well do we really know this appellation? The Domaine des Grandes Serres represents both its excellence and its vitality. Produces exceptional estate and merchant wines, both red and white, it harvests, buys grapes, vinifies, and ages over a wide area, centered around Châteauneuf and the southern Côtes-du-Rhône and including more peripheral areas such as Lirac and the Costières de Nîmes. In Châteauneuf-du-Pape itself, the estate owns twelve hectares. Created in 1977, it has long been founded on respect for the environment and the terroir. Currently, a large portion of its vintages are organic and without added sulfites, without publicly boasting about it. Modestly, Samuel Montgermont, the estate's general manager, explains that the geological and climatic conditions, particularly the mistral wind, promote the health of the vineyard and allow for the elimination of additives. Covering the entire range of white and red wines from the South and all their grape varieties, the estate is now committed to producing natural wines under labels that take themselves in no way seriously, but the wines contained in the bottles—each bearing the name of its appellation—are solid and serious, in addition to being fresh and tasty.
Saint Joseph Red 2019
A feast of violets, blackcurrants, black fruits, morello cherries, magnificent smoky and roasted notes, pepper, and spices; a crisp palate with a hint of astringency. This beautiful, dense, and mineral red from the Saint-Joseph appellation, produced biodynamically, is made from 100% old Syrah vines growing on well-exposed slopes in Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, on the right bank of the Rhône. The soils are complex: loess, decomposed granite, and gneiss. The harvest is entirely manual, and no additives are used in the vineyard or winery. The grapes are lightly crushed and macerated for three weeks in whole bunches, and aged for one year in old barrels. No filtration is carried out before bottling.

Thierry Alexandre produces little (two hectares in Saint-Jean-de-Muzols, in Ardèche, and a few vines north of Crozes-Hermitage), but he produces well and carefully, entirely biodynamically and without additives in the vineyard or cellar. His bottles are in the Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage blanc and Vin de France appellations. The grape varieties are typical of this northern Rhône Valley: Marsanne, Roussanne, Syrah, Viognier. The estate lies on quite varied soils, mainly decomposed granite, as well as gneiss, sandy clay and loess. He practices semicarbonic fermentation in whole bunches for fairly long periods and aging, depending on the vintage, in stainless steel or old barrels. His wines are as rare and sought-after as the winemaker is humble and discreet, but there is nothing haughty or inaccessible about them: pleasant, warm, fluid and well balanced between fruit and mineral, they are wines of pleasure that should be reserved for the most friendly gatherings.
Magnum Munjebel Red 2015
This Munjebel is a bouquet of wild red fruits, pure classic Nerello Mascalese, rich and aromatic, carrying all the crunch of ripe fruit, with a Pinot Noir edge and a brilliant translucent color. It comes from several plots, including those from which the azienda's greatest vintages come (Zottorinoto, Feudo di Mezzo-Porcaria, Pontale Palino), and from vines specially dedicated to this vintage: Rampante, Piano Daini, and Crasà. Among Frank Cornelissen's vintages, it best represents the typicality of the northern valley of Etna.

Cloé Rosé 2017
Abbazia San Giorgio
Cloé is a Nerello Mascalese from the Sicilian estate Abbazia San Giorgio, planted on terraces. The grapes grow on volcanic soils poor in organic matter. Harvested at the end of September, they undergo a brief maceration, then are aged in stainless steel vats and chestnut barrels for 6 months. This is a rosé with character, boasting great freshness in addition to its floral aromas.
