Munjebel VA Red 2021 - Frank Cornelissen
A pure Nerello Mascalese from Sicily (Etna Rosso PDO/DOP and Terre Siciliane Nerello Mascalese PGI appellations), Munjebel VA is an organic (Eurofeuille), biodynamic, and natural red wine produced by Frank Cornelissen. It is a blend of the estate's three highest vineyards (Vigne Alte), rich in biodiversity: Tartaraci (1,000 m above sea level), Rampante soprana (870 m) and Barbabecchi (910 m). The soils are basaltic and the ungrafted vines are on average 90 years old.
Auguste Red 2018 - Sous le Végétal
Auguste is the Roman emperor, and also the grape variety. The only dry red in the project, it reflects the salinity of the schist and the freshness and acidity of the quartz. Its aromas of cherry and red fruits remain elegant and taut, with delicious tannins. A long, full-bodied wine with a salty finish.
Hüpnos White 2018 - Sous le Végétal
Hüpnos (“sleep” in Greek) owes its name to the slopes of the dormant volcano on which its terraced vineyards are located, harvested at night. It is a dry white wine cuvée produced from two vineyards of remarkable austerity. A macerated wine, it has great mineral freshness and delicious fruit, prolonged by notes of candied fruit.
Livia White 2019 - Sous le Végétal
Livia, wife of Augustus, naturally finds her place in this series: her Muscats are logically planted alongside the Augoustiatis of the Auguste cuvée: the imperial couple is reunited. This dry white wine reflects the salinity of the schist and the freshness of the quartz. The iodine aromas of the Muscat are elegant, avoiding the heaviness of the grape variety. A long and full-bodied wine, prolonged by a delicious finish.
Octave White 2018 - Sous le Végétal
Produced from eight terraces and soils combining schist, limestone, quartz, and volcanic rock, Octave 2018 expresses all the minerality of Samos. 1st stop in ALSACE: Domaine Lindenlaub - La barrique du chat botté Red 2017
A Pinot Noir from Alsace by Christophe Lindenlaub, made from the estate's oldest vines on the clay-limestone terroir of Stierkopf. Bright, fresh, and deep, this straightforward and expressive wine is vinified using a 15-day maceration process and then aged in stainless steel vats. Selected by Le Chat botté & Co for its “La Barrique du Chat botté” collection, it embodies both finesse and character.

3rd stop LANGUEDOC-ROUSSILLON: Jean-Louis Pinto - Es d'aqui Casse Tête Red 2020
Seductive, deep, dense and with a strong personality, Casse-Tête is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Mourvèdre. The Cabernet comes from an alluvial terrace with large pebbles in the Tarn, and the Mourvèdre from clay-limestone soil. The harvest macerates for twenty days in whole bunches and is aged on lees in stoneware jars.
4th stop BEAUJOLAIS: Nicolas Chemarin Régnié La Haute Ronze Red 2017
La Haute Ronze is one of two plots cultivated by Nicolas in the Régnié appellation; it is considered to be of very high quality, with deep clay soils that produce full-bodied wines. This 100% Gamay is made using semi-carbonic maceration and aged for around twenty months (half in barrels, half in stainless steel vats). It offers notes of leather, earth, and Mediterranean herbs (oregano, rosemary) alongside red fruit.
