Kuku Yodel Blanc 2018, Domaine La Sorga
Made from Muscat of Alexandria vines growing on the schist soils of the high slopes of Hérault, Kuku Yodel is a dry white wine. The destemmed grapes macerate for forty-five days in vats, then the wine is aged for one year. Its aromas of mandarin, verbena and lemongrass call for hard cheeses: an old Parmesan is ideal. Aging potential: ten years.

Brutal is a concept inspired by the Bar Brutal in Barcelona: any natural winemaker can make a vintage, part of which is intended for the bar. The principle is to obtain a fruity and easily drinkable wine. This red blend of Carignan and Mourvèdre, with an explosive and powerful nose and notes of blackcurrant and black berries, offers aromas of ripe plum and marked but tender tannins on the palate.

This wine of great character presents all the distinction of red Collioure – density, depth, freshness, black fruits – with the minerality of the soil exactly transmitted: no wood, vinification is done in concrete, in whole bunches, and aging in stainless steel vats.
