On south-facing schist hillsides at an altitude of 1,300 meters, Manuel Valenzuela has created this astonishing sweet red wine from the Xarab series, made from Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, raisined on the vine and harvested in December. VNR Vinel lo Rouge 2020,
Partida Creus
A supple and hyperfruity classic "à la Jura," an easy-drinking everyday wine with a beautifully fresh expression and notes of pomegranate. VN, Vinel·lo, is a particularly successful blend of native grape varieties: it consists of Samsó (Cinsault), Garrut (Mourvèdre), Trepat, Ull de Perdiu, Queixal de Llop, Sumoll, and Grenache Noir, harvested from predominantly limestone soils. Vinification is carried out individually according to the varieties. No filtration, no additives, no added sulfites.

Partida Creus is an important estate, both from a winemaking and historical perspective—we're talking about the history of the vine in Catalonia. Massimo Marchiori and Antonella Gerosa, originally from Piedmont—and even from the Langhe region, where wine is well-versed—first pursued careers as architects in Barcelona. But the wine bug tickled them, and they soon abandoned the big city and its sophistication for the vineyards of southern Catalonia, in Bonastre in Baix-Penedés. There they found a number of abandoned vineyards planted with a dizzying diversity of traditional Catalan grape varieties, which they passionately revived to save these varieties—and their wines—from oblivion. For them, it's not just a matter of saving their heritage, no: it's a matter of taste and nature. Of natural wines, which they will never stop making from now on on these sandy, poor, clay-limestone or clay-gravel soils, poor and poorly irrigated, where the vines suffer to produce their best juice. Massimo and Antonella practice organic, biodynamic, entirely manual and natural viticulture in order to give new life to these wines. Vinyater, sumoll, garrut, monastrell, ull de perdiu, ull de llebre, sumoll, queixal de llop, cariñena, trepat, ceciat parent, maccabeu, parellada, pansé, vinel.lo, bobal, cartoixà vermell or xarel.lo: it is a true conservatory of the native Catalan grape varieties that Partida Creus cares for. There is also Moscatel, Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet (among others). Few wineries can boast of growing so many different grape varieties. The wines reflect this diversity, with winemakers striving to best convey the signature of the soil and the grape variety: single varietals are common among them, alongside very rich blends, all in the styles dear to Catalonia: still wine, "ancestral" sparkling wine, and even vermouth. The bottles themselves are works of art: bare glass, simply marked with two large stenciled initials that indicate the cuvée. The wines, fresh, vibrant, lush but always straightforward and impeccably juicy and fruity, breathe life. The arrival of a Partida Creus at the table always elicits cries of satisfaction.

Vino Bianco Ambar White 2020
Àmbar ("amber"), aptly named, is a dry macerated white wine that stands out with its beautiful amber color with pink highlights typical of an orange wine. It is a ripe, straightforward wine, surprisingly easy to drink. The nose is delicately floral, as is the palate. Àmbar is very fresh and has lovely acidity. It offers tobacco, spices, orange peel, almond, and toasted notes, without losing its beautiful fruitiness. Plenty of minerality, earth, and a touch of creaminess after aeration. This wine is made from the Grechetto grape variety, macerated and fermented on the skins in thousand-liter terracotta jars. After pressing, the wines are aged, always separately, for eight to ten months in old oak barrels before being blended in fiberglass vats.

The Azienda Corva Gialla ("yellow crow") is a wine estate in Lazio, Italy, located on the edge of Umbria in the Alta Tuscia Viterbese. A volcanic region considered one of the most beautiful in Italy and characterized by its calanches, high tuff rock formations delimiting deep valleys carved by numerous rivers and torrents. Corva Gialla is located in Lubriano, opposite Civita di Bagnoregio. Alta Tuscia is proving to be a breeding ground for young winemaking talents dedicated to nature, who are enhancing these historically neglected lands. Founded in 2017, the estate comprises four hectares cultivated by Beatrice Arweiler, originally from another wine-growing region, between the Rhine and the Moselle. The new owner has also planted an olive grove (Frantoio and Leccino varieties) and developed the estate into a mixed crop-livestock system. The vines were planted with the help of Gian Marco Antonuzzi of the Le Coste estate. The friable volcanic soil lends itself magnificently to viticulture and the planting of grape varieties such as Grechetto d'Umbria, Trebbiano, Vermentino, Sangiovese, and Ciliegiolo. The estate's wines are quintessentially Italian, meaning they are crafted above all for pleasure. They are straightforward, deep, and

Belonging to a family established since 1601 in the Alsatian wine-growing village of Mittelbergheim, the Armand Gilg estate bears the name of its founder, who resolutely oriented the family business towards viticulture in 1937. Since then, the Gilgs have remained in charge, having expanded the vineyard from an initial one hectare to twenty-nine hectares, purchased centuries-old cellars for bottles and tuns, and built buildings for pressing and other winemaking activities. The estate, classified as HVE (High Environmental Value) for several years, acquired organic farming certification in 2021. Its plots, scattered around the village, are grouped into around a hundred groups, including five hectares on the famous Grand Cru of Zotzenberg, one of the most renowned lieux-dits in Alsace, and one hectare planted solely with Riesling on the Grand Cru Moenchberg. Production embraces all seven traditional Alsatian grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Sylvaner, Auxerrois, Riesling, Muscat, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer), also including Chardonnay for the Crémants and the Klevener de Heiligenstein (Savagnin Rose). While all the vintages of the Gilg estate are organic, two natural vintages are produced, one based on Pinot Noir, the other on Sylvaner, within the Les Spontanés series dedicated to wines without additives.

Through his entirely natural approach, Frédéric Cossard gives voice to the terroirs and Burgundy wines, undistorted by agricultural chemicals. Having observed, during his years of trading, the existence of harmful wine-growing practices, the winemaker used this counter-example to practice unadulterated viticulture. Thus, he produces vintages of purity and elegance without artifice which are among the most sought-after in Burgundy. Frédéric worked for a time as a wine broker before creating the Chassorney estate with his partner Laure in 1996: initially a few ares of vines in Saint-Romain, Auxey-Duresses and Savigny-lès-Beaune, and currently ten hectares spread across the Nuits-Saint-Georges, Pommard, Volnay, Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune and Bourgogne appellations. In 2006, he created his own wine merchant house and purchased organic grapes to vinify, according to his style and convictions, great vintages such as Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Chambolle-Musigny, Vosne-Romanée and several Beaujolais vintages. The practice is not limited to Burgundy since vintages are made from grapes purchased in the Jura or Languedoc. At his place, the work of the soil and the vines is done as naturally as possible: regular plowing by horse, no addition of chemical fertilizers or weedkillers. The vines are cared for according to the principles of biodynamics: homeopathic treatments based on essential oils, copper and sulfur in minimal doses. The harvest is entirely manual, carried out at full maturity, at the end of October. red or white, classic Burgundies or more atypical or less “regional” bottles, Frédéric’s vintages are rare and sought-after wines, which sometimes require waiting.

Mensonge à Papa Red 2021
Fresh, supple, fruity, light, and easy-drinking, Mensonge à Papa is a delicious wine for aperitifs, sharing, thirst quenching, meals, and good company. It proudly carries the banner of Gamay from two regions: Auvergne (from Châteaugay, near Riom, on calcareous-volcanic soils) and Beaujolais (from Rivolet, on blue granite). It is the result of a blend of equal parts of these two origins of the same grape variety, with a shared family resemblance, but also a marked difference: the Gamay from Auvergne has more acidity. Lie to Dad is therefore, in a way, an ode to Gamay. The grapes are first slowly pressed, then their must is added to whole bunches (of Gamay, surprise!) for a fifteen-day carbonic maceration. The aging takes place for a year in fiberglass vats. No chemical inputs are added during the cultivation and vinification, and in particular no sulfites. Classified as a Vin de France and with an alcohol content of 13.5%, it will be wonderful as an aperitif or with food, or just to have a good time.

Founded and run by Claire Sage and Aimé Duveau, located in Chanteuges (Haute-Loire), Belly Wine Experiment is as much an experiment as a winemaking business. The creative duo has a lot to live up to: Claire is the sister of Daniel Sage, a fan of underwater wine aging but above all an importer of Catalan wines. Hence the presence of Catalan grape varieties in Belly Wine Experiment's blends, alongside Burgundy, Auvergne, and Jura grape varieties, readily found in the same bottle. Aimé is the son of Manu Duveau, a poet-winemaker from Auvergne, a former stonemason, and a great winemaker of local Gamays at his Domaine de l'Égrappille. The uniqueness of Belly Wine Experiment is the exoticism (in the literal sense) of the blends, with Xarel lo from Catalonia, for example, being able to sit alongside Gamay from Puy-de-Dôme with the utmost naturalness. The wines are made using semicarbonic maceration, without the addition of chemical additives or excessive manipulation in the cellar. The house is also known for its very high-quality, vinous perries.

Cuvée Expériment Rosé 2020,

A rosé with a lot to tell, somehow bridging the gap between Catalonia and Auvergne. Fruit, freshness, liveliness, vivacity, and a beautiful light ruby color. Officially classified as a red wine because it contains white wine, this rosé Experiment cuvée is made from equal parts Gamay from Auvergne and Xarello from Catalonia. The Gamay undergoes semicarbonic maceration in whole bunches for fifteen days, then it is blended with crushed Xarello, along with its stems, and macerated for five days. Argilla Ramato Rosé 2021
Terre Pianca
Argilla Ramato 2021 from Terre Pianca is a captivating wine that showcases Pinot Gris in an unusual expression, with a ramato (coppery) hue achieved through skin maceration. This process, typical of Friuli, reveals all the aromatic richness and structure of this iconic grape variety, while giving it a delicately tinted color, ranging from light red to deep orange.
Produced from clay soils, this natural wine expresses a subtle minerality and beautiful freshness. On the nose, it unfolds a delicate and floral bouquet, punctuated by notes of fresh and bitter almond, which give it a truly Italian elegance. On the palate, the texture is soft and enveloping, with remarkable persistence on aromas of nuts and a slight spicy touch. The long, lingering finish combines freshness and complexity, making each sip as surprising as it is enjoyable.
Served between 16 and 18°C, Argilla Ramato 2021 will pair wonderfully with delicate, lightly spiced dishes, grilled fish, white meats, and mature cheeses. With an aging potential of 5 to 10 years, it will evolve into even deeper and more subtle aromas.
A unique wine, at the crossroads between white and red, perfect for those seeking an extraordinary taste experience.

On the border between Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, but located in the latter province, dependent on the town of Pordenone, Sacile is a small town crossed by the Livenza River, which continues its path towards the Adriatic. This is where the owners of the Terrepianca estate cultivate several indigenous Friuli grape varieties on twelve hectares of clayey soil: refosco (the transalpine equivalent of mondeuse), refosco dal peduncolo rosso (refosco with a red stalk), pinot grigio (pinot gris) and friulano (large-grained sauvignon in France). They produce light and fragrant natural wines, often sparkling (frizzante), using organic and biodynamic farming methods without adding any inputs to the vineyard or cellar. Fermentation is carried out using indigenous yeasts; no filtration is carried out. So far, Terrepianca produces two still wines, red and white (Argilla) and two sparkling wines, rosé and white (Argine).
Vino Rosso Red 2017
Corva Gialla
Red fruits, mineral and earthy notes, tertiary aromas, spices, and tobacco: this sums up the profile of Vino Rosso, the emblematic red of Azienda Corva Gialla, with beautiful notes of evolution and a pronounced but not excessive full-bodiedness. The richness, due to a high natural sugar content during fermentation, and the polyphenolic maturity are remarkable, as well as the balance between velvety and tannicity, lightness and body, roundness and acidity. On the nose, notes of spices such as cinnamon, black pepper, and fennel; On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and dominated by red fruits: ripe cherry, raspberry and strawberry. Black fruits and plum are not left out, and delicious aromas of dried fruits (prune, fig) combine with spices on the finish. Vino Rosso is a 100% Sangiovese from vines planted at an altitude of 450 meters on a west-facing plot with volcanic soils. The harvest is destemmed and macerated for about three weeks in fiberglass vats, with daily pumping over or punching down as needed. Vino Rosso is aged for twelve months in chestnut barrels and at least two years in bottles before being marketed.

Vin paillé Red 2012
Marie and Vincent Tricot
Marie and Vincent Tricot's Vin de paille is undoubtedly a curiosity: it's a sweet wine made from 100% Auvergne Gamay, entirely organic and natural, made like a Vin de paille from the Jura. The harvest is dried on straw in an attic before pressing. We're not used to Gamay vinified this way, or even red wine vinified this way.
It's an experiment, but the result more than justifies the boldness. Drying on straw concentrates the sugar in the grape berries and accentuates the flavors. Only a drop remains in each berry, but what a drop! Sweet, caressing, syrupy, complex, this Vin de paille is a delight. Its color is not a pure red but an amber, and the nose is a veritable basket of slightly jammy fruits: plum, prune, raisins, strawberry. It is possible that a refermentation takes place in the bottle, which can give a sparkling attack to this wine, but it disappears quickly. On the palate, a delicious sweetness, lots of strawberry and pleasantness. Very easy to drink.

Among the generation of Auvergne winemakers who, at the dawn of the 21st century, are resurrecting the vineyards of this beautiful volcanic province of the Massif Central in organic and natural ways, Marie and Vincent Tricot are pioneers, and their name is well known to those who have long loved natural wine. After a varied winegrowing journey that took them from Beaujolais to Chile and from Chile to Costières-de-Nîmes, they landed in Auvergne, at the foot of the Puy de Dôme, in the commune of Orcet where they took over Claude Prugnard's vineyard, a land that had not seen the slightest chemical input for around thirty years. The estate is located on a hillside, on the left bank of the Allier, in a volcanic clay-limestone area neighboring the vineyards of Châteaugay, Chanturgue and Corent. They acquired it in 2003 and, since then, have been making wines from Auvergne Gamay, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with a little Sauvignon Blanc and Muscat. These rare and sought-after wines are mainly sold directly. They have a straight and flamboyant profile, and express themselves with as much character as simplicity.
Rubaiyat Red 2009
This wine is produced from Syrah vines planted at an altitude of approximately 1,290 meters, facing south on schist and clay soils. The destemmed harvest macerates in stainless steel vats, and is aged for sixteen months in old barrels. The Syrah, originally from Persia, inspired the name of the vintage: Rubaiyat is the title of a lyrical cycle by the Persian poet Omar Khayyam (11th century), a man of great wisdom, mathematician, astronomer... He wrote in particular about the joys that wine brings, among other pleasures of life.
Natural wine without added sulfites.
On the Rock Again 2019,
Nicolas Chemarin
Deep, mineral, and hyper-complex yet highly drinkable, On The Rock Again presents a purple color with violet highlights. Its nose is floral (violet), with notes of wet rock and spices. The attack evokes ripe red fruits (raspberry, cherry). The aftertaste is long and lively with great salinity. The tannins, well-integrated and elegant, give the wine a very pleasant roundness. This Gamay Noir à jus blanc cuvée directly alludes, through its title, to the omnipresent, outcropping rock of the Marchampts terroir, directly transmitting its earthy notes to the Gamay. The minerality of this superb hillside Beaujolais red, classified as a Vin de France, should come as no surprise. We recommend tasting at 12°C and uncorking, or even decanting, half an hour to an hour before serving this wine. The harvest is vatted by gravity, in whole bunches. The vatting lasts fifteen days at a controlled temperature (from 5 to 18°C), without pumping over. After pressing, the cuvée is aged in vats on fine lees for ten months. Bottled in the waning moon, in August following the harvest, without filtration or the addition of sulfites.

Nicolas Chemarin, nicknamed "P'tit Grobis" as a resident of Marchampt (Beaujolais), is the fourth generation of winemaker on his family vineyard in the Beaujolais-Villages appellation, on a stony land where he crafts wines of surprising depth and sincerity. In 2005, he took over two hectares of his father's vines and in 2006, he produced his first vintages. In 2008, he acquired other vines and decided to devote himself solely to his estate, whose very steep terroir consists of poor, rocky soils on gray granite rock. The vines rest on the bedrock through very thin soil, and their roots plunge deep into the rock. Depending on the configuration of the soil, the vines are pruned in goblet form or raised on stakes. Their average age is eighty years. The grape varieties, Gamay and Chardonnay, are classically Beaujolais. Nicolas also cultivates two other terroirs in the Régnié appellation: Les Bullats, with light, filtering sandy soils, and La Haute Ronze, very close to Morgon, whose deeper, clayey soils produce full-bodied wines. The wines undergo long macerations (from 18 to 30 days) with punching down and temperature control (Nicolas works cold, around 20 °C). The aging is partially done in thermoregulated concrete vats for a third, the remaining two thirds being spent in barrels of four to ten wines in order to provide oxygenation but little or no woody sensation. Nicolas Chemarin is already well known in the natural world for his sweet and fruity vintages, wines for pleasure, and for vintages from difficult and magnificent terroirs, endowed with admirable and complex mineral, aromatic and spicy notes.
Made from 100% Obeideh, this wine comes from vines over 60 years old located in Zahlé, at an altitude of 1,150 meters, on white clay soils with an eastern exposure.
Organically farmed, it is vinified with 7 months of skin maceration in stainless steel tanks, then aged 12 months on lees. This vinification results in a wine of character, with a full and structured texture, combining depth, aromatic complexity, and beautiful high-altitude freshness. A very limited production of 2,000 bottles.
