Les Gallongs is a Chardonnay from calcareous marl that is reminiscent of the great white wines of the Mâconnais region due to its balance between richness and tension. The nose opens with white fruits, dried fruits, linden blossom, and delicate notes of autolysis. The palate is full, saline, and particularly mineral, with a long, fresh finish.
Winemaking
Direct pressing followed by fermentation in barrels with indigenous yeasts. Aged for 18 months on lees in old barrels, with no new wood. Wine unfined, unfiltered, and made with very low sulfites.
