La Cuvée des Artistes by Sous le Végétal, Bonté edition

On the nose and palate, there is extraordinary freshness, great breadth, and persistence. A beautiful saline note that becomes more pronounced on the finish, a sign of the wine's wonderful transfer of mineral notes through the grapes. This freshness is remarkable when we remember that Muscat is often the source of sweet and liqueur wines and that this one grew on the slopes of a volcano in the Aegean Sea, a region of the world known for its heat. This dry white made from small-grain muscat is stamped in the colors of Bonté, tagger artist with a thousand colors who, taking a quick trip to Lyon, has given this vintage a label of his own. This inaugurates the YARD-Culinaries concept of the Cuvée des Artistes, a creative encounter between art and natural wine, for the pleasure of the eyes and the palate in convivial harmony. Stay tuned for future editions, and for now, admire this one and enjoy!
Bonté, a graffiti artist with a passion for wine
A product of the 90s graffiti scene, Bonté first made his mark in the Paris metro tunnels before venturing out into the open air and leaving his mark on the streets of Paris, New York, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires, and more. He now experiments with his talents across different mediums, integrating graffiti into contemporary art. During a recent stay in Lyon, he discovered a new pictorial tool: the pipette, a chef's instrument with which he developed a unique style, pushing the drips of his painting to the limits of abstraction. A new kind of graffiti that he applies to walls as well as to his canvases and even to wine labels, as demonstrated by his work for the Cuvée des Artistes, like a polychrome stained-glass window set with the outlines of the letters that form his name. These euphoric colors go well with the wine, highlighting its vast aromatic palette, its smoothness and its freshness.

Under the Plant

Sous le Végétal is our ambitious, in-house wine project, born on the Greek island of Samos. Initially conceived by Jason Ligas, the project took on new life thanks to the expertise of Patrick Bouju, an iconic figure in natural wine in Auvergne, and the unwavering support of Maison Culinaries. Together, they breathed new life into this unique terroir, drawing on the ancestral know-how of a local cooperative and enhancing the island's emblematic grape variety: Muscat Petit Grain.
