Distillerie Lehmann

This Williams Pear eau-de-vie is one of the most accomplished expressions of the expertise of the Lehmann house, a family distillery founded in Alsace in 1850. The fruit is rigorously selected and then double-distilled in traditional copper stills. The heart of the distillate then rests for at least eight years in glass demijohns, a long aging process that provides roundness and depth while maintaining remarkable aromatic purity.

The nose and palate provide the sensation of biting into a ripe, juicy Williams pear, with an intense, elegant, and persistent expression of the fruit. Best enjoyed neat as a digestif, at around 16 to 18°C (60–64°F), or slightly chilled. It also pairs very well with pear tart, almond desserts, or low-sugar dark chocolate.
