Tireur des Litres Rouge 2014, Domaine La Sorga
Tireur des Litres is a blend of four grape varieties in equal parts: Syrah from Lagrasse, Grenache from Carcassonne, Merlot from Carcassonne and Côt de Prayssac. The different grapes are grown on ferruginous clay-limestone soils for Lagrasse and Prayssac and on sandy-limestone soils for Carcassonne. Classified as a Vin de France appellation, this red wine was aged in barrels and vats. Its notes of black fruits, spices and tobacco pair perfectly with braised beef cheek or duck confit. Its aging potential is ten years.
