You should never leave Montauban, Michel Audiard said in Les Tontons flingueurs. When you're from Montauban, passionate about making spirits, and intend to do so using organic and local ingredients, you stay there and create the BOWS distillery. Summed up in a few words, this is the story of Benoît Garcia. This young man from Montauban, a climate engineering technician whose job is to manage fluids, and a visual artist to boot, wondered why he shouldn't also manage a distilled fluid management company. He matured his project for a few years, then, taking his patience, passion, and courage in both hands, he built his distillery in 2016, from the ground to the creation of the label, including the design of the copper still. This extraordinary machine, custom-made in the Dordogne, gives its distillates subtle flavor nuances. BOWS is an acronym that stands for Brave Occitan Wild Spirit. A Native American chief's name that perfectly reflects the identity (wild, he says) that Benoît wants to give to the house.

A devotee of naturalness, Benoît selects only impeccable raw materials—organic seeds, bottles free of heavy metals—and applies his love of a job well done to creating magnificent, sipping spirits.
