YARD Lyon is the only natural wine bar in Lyon's 4th arrondissement, Croix-Rousse, directly opposite the famous Place des Tapis, but above all, it's a place to live. A wine bar where it's good to share a bottle, enjoy a small glass in the sun on its large terrace, eat a beautiful and high-quality charcuterie board, or treat yourself to a variety of tapas in a warm and friendly, underground atmosphere.

Our specialty is natural wine: our cellar is completely full of it! It is also the absolute passion of Mattéo, the owner and his team: consult his menu, of course, but remember to chat with them, they will be able to give you the information you are looking for (and even more), help you discover new gems, guide you to find your ideal wine or let you taste unexpected wine references.
All our vintages come from independent winemakers who use environmentally friendly methods. Organic or biodynamic wines - certified or not, little to no chemical and oenological inputs, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Mainly manual harvests, fermentation with indigenous yeasts, little to no added sulfites (<30 mg/L): in the bottle, the true taste of the preserved terroir and the vintage are captured, which you can then enjoy in your glass.
The selection at YARD Lyon 4e, made in partnership with natural wine dealers Culinaries, satisfies all types of palates and desires! The wine references range from red wines to whites, including orange and sparkling, from tannic and powerful appellation crus to very light glouglous, and oxidative wines, from perfectly "straight" wines to the most "funky" vintages. Add to that some special vintages that can't be found anywhere else than in a YARD in Lyon!
Of course, pride of place is given to French vineyards near Lyon to offer you local products: the Rhône Valley and Beaujolais. You will also find wines from elsewhere in France: Burgundy, Loire, Languedoc, Auvergne, Jurançon, Alsace... and even from other parts of the world: Greece, Italy, Spain...

Bonus: Mattéo always designates THE bottle of the month, the good deal of the moment! This cuvée is exceptionally offered at the take-away price, but for on-site consumption. And of course, each month, he carefully curates his selection: the featured bottle is always appropriate for the season and the weather.

As for the food, we've got you covered to fill your stomach: eating well is essential to properly enjoy your glass of natural wine!
Indulge in a charcuterie or cheese board to share: these are the best and most generous at all the wine bars in Lyon 4. Artichoke cream, bomba pugliese, truffle stracciatella, roasted camembert to warm hearts in winter... If a board isn't what you're craving, you should find what you're looking for on the tapas menu. Don't miss the homemade hummus made with fresh ingredients, it's amazing! And for those with a bigger appetite, the bar's kitchen offers homemade tartines.
QUALITY COFFEE, CRAFT BEERS, SOFT DRINKS & LIQUORS
YARD Lyon 4 is also the ideal place to go for a coffee – on the terrace on Saturday or Sunday morning before a stroll through the famous Croix-Rousse market, or indoors in winter. For raw and intense coffee lovers, we source our coffee from Mokxa, the Lyonnaise sourcers and roasters. They also focus on sustainability, organic products, short supply chains, and bean traceability.
A bar in Lyon without beer? Impossible! In addition to a few draught beers, we've focused on a selection of artisanal craft beers, which vary with the seasons.
Fancy a digestif? We've got what you need! Raspberry, sweet verbena, or mint liqueur, or limoncello from the Distillerie de la Loire. Produced less than 100km from our Lyon wine bar, the plants and ingredients used are local.
As for soft drinks, we can offer you a unique range, mainly from small French brands... and sometimes even a homemade hibiscus infusion!
