Les Méchalots 2023 is a Bourgogne Blanc from a parcel located at the gates of Marsannay, on a clay-limestone soil. Sylvain Pataille seeks tension and precision over power here. The Chardonnay expresses itself with an elegant profile of white fruits, citrus, and flowers, accompanied by a beautiful minerality. The palate is direct and luminous, with a delicate texture and a fresh, sapid finish.
A white wine that perfectly reflects Pataille's style: minimal intervention during winemaking and aging designed to support the wine without masking the terroir. Its freshness and depth make it an excellent companion for fish, poultry, mushroom risotto, shellfish, or pressed cheeses.
