Saignée Rouge 2017, Azienda Agricola Viola
This red is a blend of Syrah and Nerello Mascalese planted on clay-limestone soils in the Terre Siciliane appellation. The grapes macerate lightly on their skins in stainless steel vats and are also aged in vats for a year. This is a wine with a strong local identity, earthy, mineral and fresh, which will be wonderful with stewed or grilled meats and smoked dishes. Excellent with pasta al ragù.
Natural wine with no added sulfites.
