Magnum Maquis Rouge 2012, Domaine Vinci
Lledo what? Here is a deep red produced from lledoner pelut, a little-known Catalan grape variety. The Maquis cuvée reflects the quintessence of the clay-limestone soil, with the added generosity of Roussillon. The grapes are vinified in whole bunches, trampled by foot, then placed in cement vats. A captivating nose with notes of raspberry, confirmed on the palate, with a fairly pronounced tannic grain.

Natural wine with no added sulfites.

Vinci Estate

Emmanuelle Vinci and Olivier Varichon craft free-spirited and profound wines in the wild Agly Valley. Across 7 hectares of old organic vines, they work by hand, with patience and boldness, to allow the terroir to express itself without artifice. Their wines—powerful reds, subtle whites—tell a true, raw, and sensitive story. Wines to be tamed, made for those who love to be surprised.
