3.14 is Jean Foillard's rarest and most ambitious cuvée. Its name refers both to the famous number π (3.14) and to the mythical Côte du Py, one of Morgon's greatest terroirs, from which the estate's oldest vines originate. Produced only in great vintages and in very limited quantities, this cuvée reveals the full finesse of Foillard's work: vibrant fruit, floral and spicy notes, and a deep, velvety, remarkably elegant palate. A grand, age-worthy Gamay from one of the leading figures in natural wine.

Jean Foillard

Find out more

A major figure in Beaujolais, Jean Foillard works his vines respecting natural balances, with minimal intervention in winemaking. This cuvée, made from old vines, reflects all the complexity of Gamay from great terroirs.

The color is an intense ruby. The nose reveals aromas of black cherry, violet, spices and a subtle mineral touch. On the palate, the wine is structured, with fine tannins and good depth.

The balance between concentration and freshness is remarkable, with a long and elegant finish.

A great gastronomic wine, ideal with roasted meats or refined dishes. A cuvée with character and aging potential.
