Dolce et Cabanon Rosé 2023
La Tribu Alonso
Dolce et Cabanon is an organic and natural rosé/red wine from Beaujolais, vinified without additives by Cyril Alonso in Marchampt and classified as a Vin de France. Like all of this winemaker's creations, it is a highly original wine, produced from his Conservatoire des vignes anciennes in the Rhône-Alpes region.
Vinification
Among Cyril Alonso's 140 grape varieties is Muscat Bleu, a cross between Muscat Garnier and dark blue skin. Each year, this grape variety is included in the blend of the Art Brut cuvée, but in 2023 its overabundant production prompted the winemaker to use it separately, as it risked overly influencing the cuvée. Cyril therefore used it as the main grape variety in Dolce et Cabanon, combining it with Gamay Vialla, a fruity and muscatel grape variety with a strong raspberry flavor. To complete the blend, he chose Red Globe, a pink American hybrid with pink juice, also very characteristic of raspberry and strawberry.
Tasting
All this makes Dolce et Cabanon a light red or a dark rosé, as desired, and a pure delicacy. A fruit bomb in the noble sense, an unconditional pleasure. Muscat, raspberry, delectable and refreshing, with exotic notes of guava, it is an aperitif wine to be enjoyed on its own, chilled, or with plump oysters, raw blue fish (sardines, tuna, mackerel), summer tapas or Japanese cuisine.
Learn more about Tribu Alonso
This tribal name refers to Cyril Alonso, winemaker, his wife, a naturopath, and their family. They take care, using organic farming, of a conservatory of traditional grape varieties from the Rhône-Alpes region located in Marchampt (Rhône), in the heart of Beaujolais Vert. This two and a half hectare ampelothèque, which existed since 1952, then had 40 grape varieties. It currently contains 140. This unique location gives their particular style to Tribu Alonso wines. Instead of being single-varietal microcuvées, they are quite the opposite: wines by grape family, either a Chardonnay containing all the Chardonnays of the house or a multi-Gamay Gamay.
A biotope classified in 2008
The estate enjoys a unique ecological location: the house and the vineyard are surrounded by intact forests, on the steep terrain of northern Beaujolais. Three rivers cross it, and the vines, close to the bedrock, capture all the minerality of the soil. Organic farming is practiced and the work, in the vineyard as well as in the cellar, is entirely manual, without the use of any chemical additives or sulfites in the vinification.
The wines
Complantation cuvées (and for good reason), the wines of Tribu Alonso embrace all the complexity of their grape varieties and the viticultural history of Beaujolais. These are carefully crafted wines, fermented and aged to the sound of Tibetan bowls, whose alpha waves are beneficial to the liquids. The fermentation periods are short to preserve the freshness and fruit, as well as the signature of the soil and grape varieties.
Dolce & Cabanon Red 2024
Terroir, plot size and grape varieties
It is in the heart of Beaujolais, in a rural corner where vines grow undisturbed, that Dolce & Cabanon 2024 is born, an atypical, vibrant, and charming red wine. This cuvée, crafted by La Tribu Alonso, defies conventions with panache: it blends no fewer than 52 hybrid grape varieties, including 30% Seibel 54/55, enhanced by the aromatic freshness of Muscat Petit Grain—a rarity in red wines, here sublimely expressed. This vegetal kaleidoscope gives rise to a free and untamed wine, like a wild garden where every plant finds its place.
Cultivation methods
The vines are cultivated with care, in harmony with nature and the seasons, without haste or dogma. Each vine is tended by hand, each bunch harvested with respect, in a profoundly artisanal approach. This attentive work in the soil, this partnership with nature, allows the grape varieties, classic or forgotten, to express themselves with precision and spontaneity. In the cellar, the same philosophy prevails: simple gestures, intuitive winemaking, to let the wine speak for itself.
Tasting & pairings
Dolce & Cabanon 2024 is a juicy, supple, and easy-drinking red wine, both generous and light. From the first sniff, it seduces with its notes of ripe red fruit, enhanced by a touch of herbaceousness and spice. Then come almost unexpected hints of citrus, which refresh the whole and give this wine a playful, slightly mischievous rhythm. On the palate, the tannins express themselves gently, creating an elegant structure, always carried by freshness.
The perfect companion for summer barbecues, flame-grilled meats, or evenings in the garden with friends, this is a wine that invites sharing and simple moments. But behind this unabashed conviviality lies true craftsmanship, a quest for balance between rusticity and finesse, between nature and culture.
Du Bout des Lèvres White 2009
A pure, sweet Chenin Blanc that respects itself, Du bout des lèvres comes from schist soil where fifty-year-old vines grow, harvested at different stages of maturity. It is here that botrytis, or noble rot, is responsible for achieving this aromatic power on both the nose and the palate. It will be wonderful as an aperitif, accompanied by some salted butter biscuits.
A natural wine with no added sulfites.
Organic Corsican Citron Eau de vie, Brana
The citrons come from small organic plantations located in Corsica. Once picked, they are transported by refrigerated truck. Upon arrival at the distillery, they are hand-cut and macerated in the eau-de-vie. The precise choice of alcohol and the optimal maceration point are the secrets of the production. The citron eau-de-vie is then aged in stainless steel vats to preserve the fresh, dense, and concentrated flavor of the fruit, clearly felt on the palate. The finish is long and elegant. Drink at 5-6° as an aperitif or digestif, for example with a chocolate dessert.
Organic Corsican Clementine Eau de Vie, Brana
The clementines come from small organic plantations located in Corsica. Once picked, they are transported by refrigerated truck. Upon arrival at the distillery, they are hand-cut and macerated in eau-de-vie. The precise choice of alcohol and the optimal maceration point are the secrets of the production. The clementine eau-de-vie is then aged in stainless steel vats to preserve the fruit's fresh, intense, and aromatic flavor. The finish is long and elegant. Drink at 5-6°C as an aperitif or digestif. Pour a few drops over dessert or fruit.
El Aqueronte Red 2018
El Aqueronte refers to Acheron, the river of the underworld in Greek mythology. We therefore expect base notes firmly rooted in the soil and black fruits, and they are there: a beautiful dark garnet color, a smoky and fruity nose (black cherry), peony, and cocoa, and a velvety, cherry-peppery texture on the palate, a harmony between minerality and fruit. Made from 100% Mencia grapes (from the Trousseau), unfiltered and unsulfured, this wine comes from seventy to ninety-year-old vines grown in the north of Bierzo on a homogeneous plot with clay-limestone soils rich in quartz, at an altitude of 555 meters. The grapes macerate for three to four days in old, unsealed chestnut vats; the wines are aged in French oak barrels for eleven months. Decanting is recommended.
Natural wine with no added sulfites.

El Nino Rouge 2012,
Le Casot des Mailloles
Le Casot des Mailloles, an iconic Roussillon estate, delivers a natural wine with a strong character, faithful to its rugged terroir on the hillsides of Banyuls. El Nino Rouge 2012 is an exceptional cuvée made from a blend of Carignan, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, from old, low-yielding vines. This precise work in the vineyards, carried out entirely by hand, gives this wine remarkable intensity and depth.
A powerful and expressive wine
At first glance, El Nino Rouge reveals a deep color with garnet highlights, testifying to its maturity and concentration. On the nose, a complex bouquet is revealed: notes of ripe black fruit, pepper, spice, and a subtle mineral note characteristic of the schist terroir of Collioure.
On the palate, the attack is straightforward, marked by a lovely freshness that balances the wine's density. The silky, melted tannins give way to a long, lingering finish, where we find the spicy and saline undertones, a true signature of the estate.
A vinification without artifice
True to the ethos of natural wine, this cuvée is vinified without added sulfites, in whole bunches and without oak aging to preserve the pure expression of the terroir. Fermentation in concrete vats and aging in stainless steel vats preserves all the freshness of the fruit and the precision of the aromas.
Enjoy now after aerating gently. It will pair wonderfully with a grilled prime rib, lamb tagine, or mature cheese.
El Nino Rouge 2013,
Le Casot des Mailloles
With El Nino Rouge 2013, the Casot des Mailloles delivers a cuvée of striking intensity, faithful to the spirit of the great natural wines of Collioure. Made from a blend of Carignan, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, this deep, structured red wine expresses the pure minerality of the schist soils and the raw energy of the old, low-yielding vines. Cultivated by hand on steep slopes, these vines require meticulous work, rewarded by incomparable concentration and freshness.
A powerful, mineral, and spicy wine
At first glance, the intense garnet color announces the richness of the material. The nose is complex and deep, combining aromas of ripe black fruits, peppery and spicy notes, as well as a salty touch reminiscent of the maritime influence of the Banyuls terroir. On the palate, the balance is remarkable: a beautiful freshness supports the wine's density, while the silky and melted tannins provide an elegant structure. The finish is long, marked by a persistent minerality and a beautiful aromatic tension.
A vinification without artifice
As always at Casot des Mailloles, this wine is vinified completely naturally, without added sulfites. The grapes are fermented in whole bunches in concrete vats, then aged in stainless steel vats to preserve all the purity of the fruit and the minerality of the terroir.
