This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon comes to us from an old family estate located in the Piera area, at the foot of Montserran, in southern Catalonia. Coming from a small plot with the particularity of producing highly concentrated juices, the Barrica cuvée has a dark color and offers a beautiful aromatic density on the nose. The name is linked to the barrel aging. On the palate, we find notes of cherry, pomegranate, and undergrowth. A powerful wine that does not blush from its sunburn, to be drunk with food, and sitting comfortably.

Magnum SP Subirat Parent Blanc 2018, Partida Creus
Subirat Parent, one of the oldest Catalan grape varieties and a close relative of Malvasia, remains rare even in its country of origin. The clay-limestone reinforces its freshness and integrity. The harvest is pressed after a three-day skin maceration. The must is settled and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats. It rests for three months in vats on fine lees before bottling. This wine is crisp and aromatic, with a nose of ripe white fruits, melon, and wildflowers. Agile on the palate, fresh and straightforward, lemony and slightly saline, with a long finish tinged with a delicate bitterness typical of the estate. Made from old vines (sixty years old) of the Catalan vinyater grape variety on clay-limestone soil, aged in 50-liter demijohns, this is a fresh and seductive white wine that excels with seafood, grilled white meats and sweetbreads, but it can also seduce without any accompaniment or pretext. Rounded, buttery, expressive and mineral. The nose is all about white fruits and white flowers. Lemon zest, a little beeswax. On the palate, volume, body, a very long finish.

Formerly called Contadino, Susucaru red combines the characteristics of its former avatar: it is the entry-level red of Azienda Frank Cornelissen and the most accessible of its vintages. It is composed of Nerello Mascalese and a few other varieties grown on the estate: Malvasia, Moscadella, Catarratto. The grapes are destemmed, lightly crushed, and undergo approximately sixty days of skin maceration. It is the aromatic expression of Etna, a vintage produced and blended in the traditional way, mixing plots and grape varieties. The result is a wine with a rich and voluptuous nose, elegant and fluid, endowed with structure and a strong personality. Aging potential: ten years. Serving temperature: 14-15 °C. Open twenty minutes before serving. Pairs well with all summer dishes, from marinated red peppers to grilled lamb and appetizers. Delivery possible in the Île-de-France region only.

Skin maceration takes place for sixty days on destemmed and lightly crushed grapes. No fining, no sulfites, light filtration before bottling. With a very dense texture, this red is more mineral than fruity (the fruit notes are candied: blackberry, prune, all roundness and melted tannins). Its depth and power are balanced by great freshness. Possibility of traces of volatile acidity, quickly disappearing with decanting.
