The distillery is located in a former silkworm farm, a splendid fortified farmhouse in the heart of Royans, surrounded by nature. Nearby, a century-old Sequoia gigantea graces the grounds and lends its name to the house vintages, whether single malt or whisky, depending on the maturation period. The locally sourced spring water is pure, fresh, and crystal clear. Organic barley fields stretch out in front of the distillery and provide the raw material. This is how organic single malt is produced in the Vercors region: on-site.

The two stills are used for the successive distillations: the Nautilus, made of steel and unique in the world, operates at low temperatures. Its production, designed by Éric and executed especially for the distillery, took two years of work. After producing the beer that forms the basis of the distillate, the first distillation takes place at 50°C, well below the usual temperature. This preserves the aromas of the malted barley. The resulting distillate has an alcohol content of 25%. It must undergo a second distillation, and this is where Belle, the Charente copper still, comes in, concentrating the alcohol while refining and clarifying the aromas. The resulting beverages are aged for at least three years in barrels from several French cooperages, whether new or having contained other alcohols. They are neither filtered nor colored, and arrive to you bottled in all their purity.
