SUNDAY TASTINGS AT THE YARD

The YARD Paris is the perfect place to start! Every Sunday, Enzo and his team organize a tasting of 1h30, where you can taste 4 to 5 vintages and learn about the terroirs, the winemakers and the production methods. You can sit at the wine cellar counter (or on the terrace, weather permitting) and enjoy a moment of conviviality and sharing with the other participants. The sommeliers are experts in their field and will share their knowledge and love for natural wines with you. They will help you develop your palate and your understanding of these unique wines, and will give you the keys to appreciating natural wines at their true value. macerated with their skins, as is the case for red wines, but for a generally shorter time (but not always). This process, inspired by traditional winemaking methods in Georgia and other regions of the Caucasus, gives the wine a characteristic orange or amber hue. Unlike classic white wines, where the skins are quickly separated from the juice, prolonged maceration (from a few days to several months) allows more complex tannins, pigments and aromas to be extracted, giving the wine a more robust structure and often fruity notes. floral or spicy.

Orange wine is distinguished by its unique organoleptic profile, combining the freshness of white wines with the texture and depth of red wines. It is often associated with natural or biodynamic winemaking methods, with little or no chemical inputs - this will of course be 100% the case for the wines in the tasting. Although this style of wine has existed for millennia, it has gained popularity in recent decades, particularly among natural wine lovers and sommeliers seeking artisanal and authentic products. Orange wine thus embodies both a traditional and innovative approach to winemaking.
