Cerreto Blanc 2019, La Vinicola di Antonio Gismondi
Cerreto is made from Malvasia di Candia vines, a grape variety also known as Uva di Cerreto. It is a very old local grape variety that is even said to be indigenous, a clone of Malvasia di Candia. The vines grow on clayey plots facing southwest. Cerreto is a lively and fresh wine with a pale yellow color and an acidic, lemony nose with hints of white flowers. It is obtained after a skin-contact maceration of four or five days in stainless steel vats, followed by pressing and aging for six to ten months in stainless steel vats. No sulfites are added, no filtration. The nose is fruity (lemon zest), as is the palate: the citrus fruits persist, the minerality asserts itself. A good companion to seafood, shellfish and raw fish.
Natural wine with no added sulfites.

The Vinicola of Antonio Gismondi

It was Massimo Marchiori, from the Partida Creus estate, who inspired Maria and Pasquale Gismondi to develop their vineyard for the international market, using biodynamic and natural methods. Today, Anabele and Antonio continue the family work.
